Special Projects Officer I, Bureau of Community Services
This position is available in the MS Department of Mental Health’s Bureau of Community Services. The job specific title is Certified Peer Support Specialist Liaison. The CPSS Liaison will serve as an advocate, administrator and resource to Certified Peer Support Specialists statewide. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the expansion of the Peer Bridger Project; Certified Peer Support Specialist Trainings statewide; and coordinating and implementing services with DMH certified providers, community mental health centers, and behavioral health programs. Program Administrator, II, Director of Suicide Prevention

This position will be responsible for working with community mental health services across the state; reviewing grants from community service providers; reviewing policies and procedures for community service providers and new interested providers; program development and evaluation as needed; conducting trainings; and providing technical assistance as needed. This position is available in the MS Department of Mental Health’s Bureau of Community Services. This position will be responsible for conducting state-statute required pre-evaluation screening training for staff at Community Mental Health Centers (CMHC); developing procurement documents for community services grants; disseminating funds from grants to service providers; valuating, negotiating, and processing community services grant proposals submitted by providers; collecting monthly crisis data and transferring to the Central Data Repository (CDR); running CDR crisis data reports as needed; reviewing and evaluating policies and procedures for new programs and providers; providing technical assistance for new interested providers of community-based mental health services. This position is available in the MS Department of Mental Health’s Division of Information Systems. The incumbent will work under the supervision of the Information Systems Director. This position is a technical professional position which will be utilized to provide IT support (help desk). The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PC’s, laptops, and peripherals including network equipment such as switches and firewalls, as well as providing support for end user software and server applications.
