Request for Applications, Peer Bridger Project Coordinator (Posted 2/17/21)

The contract worker position for the Outreach Coordinator for the Peer Bridger Project is available at the Mississippi Department of Mental Health under the supervision of the Deputy Executive Director of State Operated Programs. This position will be responsible for the implementation, coordination and monitoring of the statewide Peer Bridger Program to improve the transition process from inpatient care to a community based level of care so as to decrease individuals’ need for readmission and increase the number of individuals who attend follow-up appointments by offering intensive peer support services. The Coordinator will be responsible for working with DMH staff and Community Mental Health Centers to expand the program statewide, provide assistance to grant recipients, and monitor and report outcomes on a monthly basis. This position is available in the MS Department of Mental Health’s Bureau of Administration. The incumbent will report directly to the Director of the Division of Audits and Grants. This position is responsible for conducting on-site audits and related financial reviews of DMH grant sub-recipients. Audits and reviews include establishing and performing substantive and analytical procedures in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards to ensure reimbursement from DMH to its sub-recipients is in accordance with applicable state and federal guidelines governing such funds. The work involves evaluating the effectiveness of internal control systems within the agency as well as on a DMH grant sub-recipient level by conducting independent protective and constructive audits and reviewing the effectiveness of controls, financial records, and operations. Request for Applications, Data Analyst (Posted 1/27/21)

The contract worker position of Data Analyst is housed within DMH’s Bureau of Administration in the Division of Information Systems. The contract worker will report directly to DMH’s Chief Information Officer. The scope of work for this position includes but is not limited to: Collaborate with internal users to understand claims reporting requirements to meet grant reporting requirements and annual reports; Collaborate with CMHC’s and Private Providers with WITS system onboarding and data submission; Conduct training when needed on WITS claims submission, billing, data warehouse; and more. This contract is for four months with the option to renew for one additional year. The start date for this contract worker is March 1, 2021. The end date is June 30, 2021. Upon exercising the renewable one-year term, the contractual period would be effective July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022. MH – Program Administrator IV, Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services, Director of Peer Support Services (Posted 1/11/21)

This position is available in the MS Department of Mental Health’s Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Services. The incumbent will serve as the State Director of Peer Support Services. The person will be responsible for the coordination of peer support training programs and daily management and coordination of services for grants for recovery support, peer support and acquiring more funding to benefit individuals in need of peer support services throughout the State.
